Responsibilities:

  • Assist in implementing individualized treatment plans established by supervising Physical Therapist
  • Provide hands-on therapy to patients, including exercises, stretches, and manual techniques
  • Monitor and document patients’ progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
  • Educate patients and their families on proper techniques for at-home exercises and self-care
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care
  • Stay up to date with advancements in physical therapy techniques and research

Essential Skills:

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with patients, their families, and other healthcare professionals
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities to develop individualized treatment plans for patients
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Detail-oriented with strong documentation skills

License/Certification:

  • Physical Therapy Assistant license (REQUIRED)

Experience:

  • New graduates are encouraged to apply!
  • Experience working in an outpatient setting is preferred.
  • Experience working in Vestibular Rehab or Women’s Health is a plus.

CERTIFIED HAND THERAPIST (CHT) – OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST

We are excited to add a Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) to our team at Stride Physical Therapy! This role focuses on upper extremity and hand rehabilitation, including post-surgical care, custom splinting, and complex orthopedic conditions. You will work closely with referring surgeons and physicians while maintaining a high level of clinical autonomy in an outpatient setting.

Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and assess patients’ physical conditions and develop appropriate treatment plans
  • Provide advanced hand therapy interventions, including manual therapy, post-operative protocols, and progressive strengthening for upper extremity conditions
  • Monitor and document patients’ progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
  • Educate patients and their families on proper techniques for at-home exercises and self-care
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care
  • Stay up to date with techniques and research
  • Design and fabricate custom orthoses/splints for upper extremity conditions
  • Treat complex hand, wrist, elbow and forearm diagnoses, including post-surgical cases
  • Communicate regularly with referring surgeons and physicians regarding patient progress

Essential Skills:

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with patients, their families, and other healthcare professionals
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities to develop individualized treatment plans for patients
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Demonstrated expertise in upper extremity rehabilitation and clinical decision making
  • Ability to manage a specialized caseload with minimal supervision

License/Certification:

  • Occupational Therapy license (REQUIRED)
  • Certified in hand therapy

Experience:

  • Experience working in an outpatient setting is preferred.
